HSMJ - Aussie Homeschool Interview

In my life this week…
Today I am sharing a little more about myself in an interview guest post over at Aussie Homeschool.

In our home school this week…

• It's been a busy week for the end of term.  
• We spent a day over at Science Works exploring the science behind Rescue.
• We also started a new Unit Study: Seabird.  I'm looking forward to sharing the resources we use and discover at the end of the month with the Poppins Book Nook.
• Sir N completed I Can Read It book 2
• We spent a day at Werribee Open Range Zoo exploring the new interactive area for children: Ranger Kids.  We also took time to explore the lion, cheetah and gorilla exhibits and went on a Safari Bus tour.
• Continued with recorder lessons.

Helpful homeschooling tips or advice to share…

• Show your children this Escherian Stairwell.  I thought this was not possible.
• Atmospheric Pressure - Barometer Project for Kids  over at Highhill Education
• These 25 Famous Predictions Were So Incredibly Wrong. In Hindsight, They’re Insane. This was a very interesting read.  Gives you a little insight into our values and how they change.
• Here Are 11 Extremely Strange Jobs That No Longer Exist.

• 9 Christ-Centered Easter Resources and Activities

My favourite thing this week was…

• Getting the last of the cards for the latest Woolworths Card Collection.
• Some of these photographs are spectacular These 25 Photos Were Accidentally Timed so Perfectly they are Brilliant
• For your history loving children These 25 Famous Predictions Were So Incredibly Wrong. In Hindsight, They’re Insane.

• Captivated DVD IF there is ONE DVD to watch this year I would say it's this one.

In Bloggy world I’m reading…

• American Psychiatric Association makes it official: 'Selfie' a mental disorder ??  Interesting perspective.
• A CEO spends $8 million and hires a team of engineers to solve a problem.  I love the final part of this puzzle and how easy the problem was fixed. 
• Some farmers are very creative in this photo essay Oh HAY, look at what you can do with fall decorations.
• This photo essay made me realize how richly blessed I am These Are Photos Of Childrens Bedrooms. But They Represent Something Much, Much More.
• As some of you may know I enjoy TED talks.  I listened to a great one this week I got 99 problems... palsy is just one
• This takes weird to a new extreme! Interesting read non the less. Harvard discovers three of its library books are bound in human flesh
• Scientists Discover Something Totally Unexpected on 1,300-Year-Old Mummy’s Body
• Chinese Parents Abandon Children at Baby Hatch very sad to read. 

I’m cooking…

• Trim Healthy Mama Zucchini Muffins.  These were really good.

On Pinterest I found...

I’m grateful for…

• A husband who is faithful, who looks after us well and provides for us daily.
• The extra hour of sleep tonight!
• The two ladies at Woolworths who blessed me with cards to complete the Dreamworks Card collection.
