This Week
This piece was inspired by Iranian tiles which are sparkly. These types of tiles were popular in Iran between 1250-1300.  We about these tiles and followed the tutorial in The Usborne ART Treasury on pages 84 -87.  We love this book.  The mistake I made when making the shape templates was that I measured the width of my page and divided by three.  I forgot to take into account the space (1-2 mm) that you loose with the frame.  The sparkly part was easily accomplished with pva glue, glitter and a touch of water. Mix and paint over the top.  It is very shiny and sparkly.

Your Turn

I invite you to take some photo's of your children's artistic pursuits put them in a post and link up with me I would love to come over and see the wonderful art your children have enjoyed doing.
